th the AC adaptor, even using it in various countries - always worked fine.
* Reliable brand - See previous comment. BTW, I priced this exact same model in Taiwan, where they're made, and it costs about 40% more there! Overall, the fit and finish are great, and it seems to be pretty sturdy. I toted this thing everywhere and ever roughed it up a bit - no problems.
* Light weight and small size - This was highly important during my travels. Many times I was glad that I'd bought this thing rather than toting the Lenovo laptop around. Such much lighter and smaller, and compared to the Lenovo, its battery is immortal.
* Reports of good behavior with Windows 7 - My experience has been great so far. XP worked alright, but W7 works even better. Installation wasn't too painful. I didn't want to buy an external drive for this Asus, so I set up by HP media computer and this one with the same workgroup name, then shared the DVD drive on the HP, and installed W7 on the Asus using the drive on my HP box.
